‘An Elephant’s Tail’ will be, by both its aims and nature, unique. There are in a sense two entwined themes here: 1. Love the life in front of you, and 2. Exploration of everything, prompted by what Einstein called “an irresistible longing to understand the secrets of nature.” We are not spectators of the universe, nor are we directors of it. We are participants in it, bit players strutting and fretting upon the stage in life’s long shadow, there for but a moment, then gone, memories held by others the only and thinnest vestiges of what we were. Yet, we live, and, if we are lucky, we love. I’m trying to get a handle on all this. Such a thing has been likened to a flea on the elephant’s tail trying to understand the elephant and the elephant’s world. But that’s what I’m driven to do. And you can read all about it. By subscribing, you’ll get full access to the website and archived posts, as well as delivery of new posts right to your inbox.

Thoughts on life, the universe, and everything—from a perspective I grant is rather limited, but all I’ve got. I’ll be sharing about my search for truth, meaning, and beauty in nature and the universe, and exhorting all to love the life in front of them.
